Training League

Our Training League is great for girls ages 5-7. Participants learn the fundamentals of softball while having fun with friends.

Fall League Format

• For 6U & 7U Teams (Fall Ball is at 2026 Age Levels)
• 7-Game Season:  August 16th - October 5th
• Games played any day of the week:  Monday - Friday (6pm), Saturday - Sunday (9am, 10:30am, 12pm, 1:30pm, 3pm, 4:30pm)
• Game time: 1 hr 15 min with hard stop
• Managers will be given 12  blackout dates to avoid conflicts
• All league games played at CVAC
• $680/Team
  • Payment required at registration (credit card only)
  • Enter a roster and send email invite to parents to register player.   No fee to register a player but player registration and waivers need to be completed.

Eligibility  (Play USA 2026 Age Levels)

• 6U (Machine Pitch) for players born 9/1/18 - 8/31/19
• 7U (Machine Pitch) for players born 9/1/17 - 8/31/18

STEP 1  Team Registration

• Register a team November 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025. 
• Managers register a team for no fee, and enter roster.  The system will send an email INVITE to parents with a player registration link to their team.

STEP 2  Player Registration

• Register a player November 1, 2024 through January 31, 2025 
• $145/player (late fee of $25 after Jan. 31st
• If you have a team, please follow the emailed INVITE from the system with a link to register to your invited team.
• If you are looking for a team, you can register as a DRAFT player and go on an Available Player listing for managers to view. 
  • You can also place an ad on the Discussion Board for a Player Looking for a Team or look at ads for Teams Looking for Players.   CBSA will do it's best to find your player a team but cannot guarantee placement.  Coordinator Contact Information can be found on the right side of this webpage.

2025 Spring League Format

League Format

• Games begin April 4, 2025
• 10-Game Season:  April - June 
• Games played: Fridays (6pm), Saturdays (9am - 6pm), Sundays (9am - 6pm)
• Game length: 1 hr. 15 min.
• All league games will be played at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex (CVAC)
• Preseason & In-Season practices will be held at Chesterfield. Any additional practice time(s) & locations will be determined by the coach.

Equipment & Uniforms

• CBSA provides t-shirt and cap/visor for each player 
• Teams new to CBSA will receive an equipment bag which includes: batting tee, bases, 5 helmets with face mask.  5/6U will receive 1 dozen softballs. Umpires provide game balls for 7U. 7U teams will also receive catcher’s gear (mitt not included).

2025 Eligibility (Play New USA 2024 Age Levels)

* Managers must notify coordinator 24 hours before game.  Not for permission but so coordinator can let the opposing manager know of guest player.

* Umpire and other manager must be made aware of guest player at ground rules.

• Must be a currently registered CBSA player in the Training League
• Cannot be from a division higher
• Must wear their own team uniform
• Team must have at least 11 players on Official Roster
• Team must have 8 or fewer available players to enlist a guest player
